OUR ALLIANCES
We partner with a number of graduate student organizations on campus to support their mission.
The mission of the Asian Resource Center (ARC) is to educate, promote, and encourage the interaction and dialogue among the diverse ethnic groups within the Asian American community at UCSB. The Center provides a supportive environment for students, staff, faculty, and community members to develop an appreciation for one's identity and to affirm an institutional commitment that recognizes one’s community.
Queer and Trans Graduate Student Union (QTGSU)
Provides a safe space for LGBTQIA+ identified UCSB students to socialize, organize, and seek support. We advocate for the rights and well-being of LGBTQIA+ identified students on campus and work to foster ties with the greater Santa Barbara community.
Black Graduate Student Association (BGSA)
An interdisciplinary graduate student organization designed to provide academic support and social resources support that meet the needs of Black (of the African Diaspora) graduate students at the University of California Santa Barbara. BGSA supports and participates in scholarly activities that are intellectually stimulating and contribute to building the academic resources of its members. The BGSA also offers a valuable social network that builds on the organization's commitment to mentorship, research, and service.
